Thank You, Academy of Finland!

Few days ago, I received very great news, we got the Academy of Finland project funding!!! Of course, I know that there was a lot of excellent projects that were not funded, but I cannot be more proud of my team at the moment! Hard work finally paid off. So thank you for the Academy of Finland for supporting our research and thank you for the team for your dedication! Now we will focus on "Innovative and Proactive Solution for Better Brain Health" for the next for years! Currently, I have a very good feeling about the project and its success based on the results that we have gained during the evaluation, but I will post more about those later. Now it's time to celebrate a bit! 😎

Farewell coffees!

We have had a pleasure in our group to host 2 ERASMUS students this spring, Johana from France and Anastasiia from Russia. Johanna was working in the synthesis lab together with Santosh creating almost 10 new molecules for us for further testing. Anastasiia, in turn worked with Johanna in analytical lab, and created a huge amount of data for us how LAT1-utilizing efflux inhibitors can improve the accumulation of another chemotherapeutics selectively into the cancer cells.

So thank you both for you great work! And also Santosh and Johanna for the great supervision in the lab, while I was mainly absent! I hope these Moomin mugs will remind you about your great visit in Kuopio! And I hope your results will be published some day!
