Finally, it was officially announced, Hamed got a grant from the Northern Savo Regional Fund! This was a great surprise and amazing news for us, so congratulations Hamed! I believe now that you will defend your Ph.D. thesis in 2026! The UEF press release can be found here (link) (in Finnish, unfortunately). And more about the very interesting results related to this project and topic will be posted a bit later, since it has led to at least 3 manuscripts that were are currently writing.
I had the great pleasure of accompanying the School of Pharmacy (UEF) representation that visited the Medical University of Gdansk last week. The aim was to introduce and strengthen the future collaboration between the units, including teaching and research, and we were very warmly welcomed! The Polish hospitality was amazing, as also were the site visits to the hospital pharmacy, the university itself, and Polpharma, the industrial manufacturer of drugs. Such great memories, and I cannot wait to see our next meeting in August in Kuopio. But of course, after such a trip with busy days, the best was to get back home with the loved ones! 😎
