Heavy Science Requires Heavy Balance

Yesterday, we had a volleyball game, our TTDD team against Modellers (Antti's & Maija's team). The idea was to play outside in the new beach volley field that they built last autumn in front of the university, but unluckily, the weather was not so good, and we were forced to play inside. Modeller's played well, but we won 2-1! 😎 Re-match perhaps outside after the summer break, or if any other team in Pharmacy wants to challenge us, we are always ready! 😉 I may have some extra foreign players to strengthen the team! 😈

Great News!

May is always an enthusiastic time for those who have applied for funding from the Academy of Finland. This year, it was my turn to apply, and the deadline was really tricky, right after Christmas break, the same day when kids went back to school, so not really an optimal time, especially for single parents... But I guess I found a good balance, since I was able to submit a decent enough proposal and to some extent even enjoy the winter sports during the break.

Anyway, I'm sincerely grateful to the Academy of Finland (link to the press release) for supporting our research and enabling to step once again into a new field, mitochondrial-targeted drug delivery.
