New semester has started

Now the spring semester is fully going on and all our ERASMUS students, who were here already before the Christmas, are back; Pablo and Huihui from Spain, Giorgio from Italy, Petra from Czechia, and Heinileena our local Master Student - Did I already forgot someone? 😍 In addition, the new ones have arrived, now firstly Mara from Germany and more will follow later, at least one from Poland and two from France. Most of these above mentioned student are working with synthesis projects, so we have a great atmosphere in the synthesis labs at the moment and we are producing more compounds than ever. That creates a bit of a bottle neck to the next phase - evaluating the properties of these compounds. Luckily, we have a good balance of helping hands around, Santosh, Andy and Hamed supervising the students in the synthesis lab and Janne, Adela, Tiina and Sema evaluating those compounds in the bioanalysis lab (in addition to the supervision of the student in the bioanalysis lab). And Ville, your input in modelling of the compounds that we are producing is very crucial one, even though it must felt like an alien in this group! 😍
